Our BALLET shoe is made out of apple leather, and is the perfect classic companion to the office and a stylish closed flat shoe for after-work cocktails, or evening events.
Thanks to its soft pointy toe, the BALLET shoe gives wearer a striking composure by granting the legs a taller appearance. Thanks to the minimalistic design, the BALLET shoe goes wonderfully with the Deux Piece, cocktail dresses, airy skirts, pleated pants and or jeans.
All of our shoes are 100% vegan. They’re handcrafted by a small family-owned business in Portugal under fair working conditions.

Our apple leather is low-maintenance and doesn't require special care. The shoes can be worn comfortably even in rainy conditions.
The easiest way to clean them is by using a damp cloth and then drying them thoroughly. For heavy soiling, a mild soap can be used. Stubborn stains on light colors can also be removed this way.
Avoid using alcohol, waterproofing or silky sprays, other solvents, or waxes designed for genuine leather care.

Reuse: Our apple leather is derived from leftovers of juice production. The plant-based leather alternative consists of 70% biobased material.
Renew(able): Unlike regular synthetic leather, it is not produced from plastic and thus petroleum but from a renewable resource.
Refuse: No animal products and 100% vegan (PETA-Approved Vegan).

Reuse: Our timeless classics don't chase trends but remain wearable in the next season. The subtle colors are versatile and can be paired with anything.
Production: Fair & Environmentally Friendly
Refuse: We consider fair working conditions, good wages, and social benefits as fundamental prerequisites.
Reduce: We ship all orders carbon-neutral and prioritize short transportation routes wherever possible. The shoes are produced in resource-efficient, sustainable workshops, and family-owned businesses in Portugal.

The Founder
Sibylle Oetiker
is an "all or nothing" woman with a preference for summer and a flair for challenges. 100% sustainability, yes, but with a healthy dose of pragmatism and savoir-vivre. That's why the Zurich native founded SASHAY in 2020: The label combines environmental consciousness and ethically impeccable production with classic aesthetics.
The founder leads a conscious lifestyle, generally tries to avoid animal products, but doesn't live entirely vegan herself. As analytical as Sibylle is in designing vegan shoe models, she passionately embodies her philosophy of sensuality. Without surfing (for recharging), curiosity (for rethinking), laughter (even at herself), her intuition (in decision-making), and, not least, her courage, she might not have become an entrepreneur. Her source of inspiration is women like her: strong, passionate, and delicate at the same time.
